Hanging out with friends is like the ultimate college student "thing to do." Of course, it is nice when you stay safe and are still able to make it to your next exam so you can get good grades and your parents are proud that you didn't end up as a college drop out... anyway... the story goes like this: So it's a normal Friday. Fridays are always the best days because you have the whole weekend ahead of you and the last thing on your mind is actually doing school work. Of course, that's what it is for all college students right? Well I was indirectly invited to a bonfire with some friends. When the opportunity strikes, you take it. It wasn't raining that bad! And it was the night before Halloween, so of course I wanted to have a good night and go. So me and some friends pile in a car and we get out there. It's getting pretty late. Or early since it was technically the next day? Anyway, my friends and I were tired and wanted to go home. Though the person that drove us out there did not feel like leaving. So what did I do? I started to walk home. Now... keep in mind that I was about 20+ miles away from where I live. So naturally I called a cab (thank the lord for cellular service) and started walking along the road. Thankfully I wasn't alone, but as we were walking along that road at 2am, I realized that I had learned a valuble lesson: Always have a back-up get-away car.
